Cutting-edge
sports facilities, conference rooms and a drama and dance studio are being
offered to community groups and individuals as part of Thetford Academy moving
into its £19 million New Build.
Facilities
include:
• An outside MUGA
with three netball and four tennis courts.
• A full-size
sports hall which can accommodate basketball, netball, badminton, 5-a-side
football, cricket nets and martial arts.
• A large
auditorium with bleacher seating and a full PA system with an open-air
amphitheatre to be completed later in the year
• A
fully-equipped fitness suite.
• A dance and
drama studio
Already
Thetford Netball Club has relocated to the Academy and a new Tennis Academy has
been set up. The Academy now hosts the following groups and clubs, please
contact the club leader or come along if you’d like to join in:

Sara Clark, Community Use Manager, said: “Contact me if
you are interested in our new facilities - clubs or individuals. I shall be
holding open sessions on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. We are
particularly keen to get the Fitness Suite open for use – all our charges are
very reasonable.”
The
facilities are available for hire 6pm-10pm weekdays and 9am-6pm weekends.
